From 11 to 15 February 2026, the 23rd edition of the National Exhibition “Made in Moldova” took place under the aegis of the Chamber of commerce and Industry of Republic of Moldova .

Held under the motto “Home. Authentic. Local.”, the event brought together entrepreneurs, producers, and strategic partners, once again confirming the dynamism and maturity of the local business environment.

The exhibition serves as a relevant platform for visibility, cooperation, and development for companies across various sectors of the national economy.

In this edition, more than 400 participants showcased their activities, solutions, and growth potential, highlighting the ability of local companies to adapt to modern standards and market demands.

Piața regională a semințelor de floarea soarelui și a uleiului este una complexă, competitivă și foarte volatilă. La fel e și piața globală.

Competitivitatea pe această piață depinde prioritar de accesibilitatea resurselor financiare și altor resurse necesare pentru procesele de producere, de eficiența proceselor de producere și logistice, precum și de condițiile meteorologice.

Platforma Oil World prognozează pentru sezonul 2025 / 26 o recoltă globală de 59,3 milioane tone de semințe de floarea soarelui, cu 7,6% mai mult decât cele 55,1 milioane tone colectate în sezonul precedent.

Se așteaptă că volumul global de procesare va constitui 53,2 milioane tone. Cu toate că prognoza este mai mare decât volumul din anul precedent, rezultatele sunt amenințate de rezervele inițiale reduse de semințe de floarea soarelui și de riscurile meteorologice existente.

În regiunea Europei Centrale și de Est se așteaptă că Rusia va colecta o recoltă record de 17,8 – 18,3 milioane tone; Ucraina va colecta 13,5 – 13,7 milioane tone; România (cel mai mare producător de semințe de floarea soarelui în Uniunea Europeană) va colecta circa 2,0 – 2,2 milioane tone; Turcia va colecta 1,55 milioane tone; Moldova va colecta circa 0,75 milioane tone și Serbia 0,7 milioane tone.

Productivitatea terenurilor diferă de la țară la țară. Astfel, în Republica Moldova productivitatea este circa 1,1 tone/ha pe terenurile raioanelor de Sud, și 2,2 tone/ha pe terenurile raioanelor din Nord.

În România productivitatea începe cu 1,2 tone/ha în regiunile de Sud și Sud – Est, și se ridică până la 2,6 tone/ha în celelalte regiuni. Productivitatea în Serbia este de circa 2,0 tone/ha.

Productivitatea medie a terenurilor în acest sezon sub așteptările inițiale a determinat o creștere bruscă a prețurilor.

Necesitatea anuală a Turciei de circa 4,5 – 4,7 milioane tone de semințe de floarea soarelui, pe fundalul capacității interne de producere de 1,55 milioane tone, face ca Turcia să fie un factor influent în formarea prețurilor în regiune. Furnizorii principali de semințe pentru uzinele de ulei din Turcia sunt Republica Moldova, România și Rusia.

Floarea Soarelui SA, part of the Trans-Oil Group, has inaugurated a modern rapeseed processing complex with a capacity of 1,000 tons per day.

By the mid-September 2025, the Company will process approximately 45,000 tons of rapeseed, after which it will begin processing sunflower seeds.

The project has been supported by OTP Bank, Moldova. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery from leading industry manufacturers such as HUM (Turkey) and Lachenmeier Monsun (Denmark).

Between May 26–28, a specialized training session on the international standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 was held at the Floarea Soarelui S.A. facility in Bălți, Republic of Moldova. The training was dedicated to the personnel responsible for implementing the integrated management system in the Group’s vegetable oil production facilities in Moldova: Floarea Soarelui S.A., Trans-Oil Refinery S.R.L., and Danube Oil Company S.R.L.

The goal of the training was to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the teams involved in applying the requirements of ISO standards on environmental protection, occupational health, and safety, while also ensuring a consistent and efficient approach across the entire Group.

During the sessions, participants were introduced to:

• the principles and requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001;
• the identification and evaluation of environmental and occupational safety risks;
• monitoring legal compliance and setting continuous improvement objectives;
• integrating ISO requirements into the operational processes of the plants;
• conducting internal audits according to ISO 19011 and preparing for certification audits.

The training was delivered by experienced experts in management systems with extensive knowledge in the industrial and agri-food sectors. The collaborative atmosphere and active exchange of experience among participants helped reinforce an organizational culture focused on operational excellence, sustainability, and responsibility towards employees and the environment.
